Extension Maintenance

Raw hair extensions are made from unprocessed hair, which means they are often more durable and long-lasting than other types of hair extensions. However, they still require proper care to keep them looking their best. Here are some tips for caring for raw hair extensions:

  1. Brush your hair gently and regularly to prevent tangles and keep your extensions from matting. Use a soft bristle brush and start at the ends of your hair, working your way up to the roots.

  2. Wash your hair carefully. Avoid using hot water, which can damage the bonds of your hair extensions. Instead, use lukewarm water and a mild, sulfate-free shampoo. Be gentle when washing your hair, and avoid scrubbing or rubbing it too harshly.

  3. Condition your hair regularly. Use a conditioner that is designed for use on hair extensions, and avoid putting conditioner directly on the bonds or clips of your extensions.

  4. Dry your hair gently. Avoid rubbing your hair with a towel, which can cause tangles and damage. Instead, gently squeeze the water out of your hair, and then use a wide-toothed comb to gently detangle it. Let your hair air dry, or use a blow dryer on a low heat setting.

  5. Avoid excessive use of heat styling tools, such as curling irons or straighteners, on your hair extensions. These tools can cause damage to the bonds and clips of your extensions, and can also damage the hair itself. When using heat styling tools, be sure to use a heat protectant spray to help protect your hair.

By following these tips, you can help keep your hair extensions looking beautiful and healthy.
